Investment – The past 12 months have seen us invest in upgrading some of our key items of machinery to not only enable us to continue to manufacture an excellent product but to also extend the services we can provide.  Firstly, the installation of our new Robland CNC panel saw enables us to prepare door cores quicker and more accurately.  Secondly, the installation of our Alberti CNC door machining centre enables us to efficiently service doors ready to receive ironmongery components at very competitive prices.  Lastly, our most recent addition was a new Worthington energy efficient air compressor which reliably supplies compressed air throughout our factory whilst using significantly less energy than our previous air compressor.

Use of Beech timber in FD60 fire doors – BM Trada have issued a notice to all members of it’s Q-Mark fire door manufacturers certification scheme, of which we are members, to highlight an issue with use of Beech timber lippings and beading in FD60 fire doors.  The notice withdraws permission for Beech timber to be used as lipping and beading components for FD60 use (FD30 use is not affected).  As required, alternative timber species for these components will be used from January 2016.

With over 100 years experience in the industry we can provide a quality cost effective solution to your architectural needs.
